Metal carved panels, as a new type of building material integrating heat insulation and decoration, have become an ideal choice for upgrading the exterior walls of modern buildings due to their superior thermal insulation performance and realistic decorative effect. Proper installation is key to maximizing their performance, and can be completed in just five simple steps.
I. Preparation Stage
Once the boards and accessories arrive on site, all necessary installation tools must be prepared in advance: expansion bolts (for concrete or brick walls), dovetail nails (for steel structures), a hand drill, a marker, a measuring tape, a rubber mallet, and a cutting machine. Having sufficient tools prepared can prevent construction interruptions and improve efficiency.
II. Installation Accessories Base
Before installing the panels, first install the bases for the starting pieces, finishing pieces, edging, center seams, and inside and outside corners. These bases may seem insignificant, but they determine whether the panels will be perfectly level and leak-proof. Use a marker to mark the positions, drill holes and fix them in place, then gently tap with a rubber mallet to ensure they are level.
III. Installing the panels
After securing the accessory base, install the first metal carved panel horizontally from top to bottom, ensuring the female end faces down and the male end faces up. Secure with expansion screws or dovetail nails, ideally one nail every 60 cm. Next, align the female end of the second panel with the male end of the first panel and insert it firmly downwards. Gently tap the joint with a rubber mallet to ensure a tight seal before securing the subsequent panels. If the wall dimensions do not match the panel size, on-site measurement and cutting are required before installation.
IV. Install accessory cover plate
After all the panels are installed, press the accessory cover firmly onto the base. Accessories of the same material can be fixed to the wall with screws, and finally sealed with waterproof silicone sealant. This step effectively prevents water seepage caused by thermal expansion and contraction, creating a secondary seal for protection.

5. Remove the protective film.
The panels are covered with a protective film at the factory to prevent scratches during handling. Remove the protective film after installation to reveal a refreshed and aesthetically pleasing finish. It is recommended to install on a cloudy day or in the evening to avoid direct sunlight that could leave adhesive residue.
Kind tips
The wall surface should be flat and firm, with a flatness control within 3mm/m; the expansion screws should be driven into the wall to a depth of ≥5cm; construction should be suspended on rainy days, and the panels should be placed vertically to avoid rain. By following the above steps, the metal carved panels can be firmly installed on the exterior wall, achieving both excellent thermal insulation performance and high aesthetic appeal.
